Audrey Obara is member of the Manufacturing and Services investment team at Swedfund. Swedfund is the development finance institution of the Swedish state. Her work involves sourcing and analysing new equity and debt investment opportunities, managing the investment process, identifying and building relationships with potential partners, evaluating performance and developing portfolio companies in line with Swedfund’s four pillars for the duration of the investment period. She holds a BSc. Actuarial Science degree from the University of Nairobi and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She is working towards completing the CFA Level III qualification in June 2018. Prior to Swedfund, Audrey worked as a senior consultant covering East Africa. She has experience in transaction advisory, capital raising, due diligence investigations, market analysis, business modelling and business valuations. Prior to consulting, Audrey was a part time piano teacher at the Kenya Conservatoire of Music with students ranging from age 5 to 67. Audrey is passionate about investing in entities that will have a long term positive, sustainable impact on the citizens and economies within which these entities operate.
