Dr. Obita has over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry. His areas of expertise are healthcare franchising, healthcare management, health systems review and healthcare financing. Dr.Obita strongly supports and advocates for public and private sector capacity development in healthcare.He has provided advisory services to both local and international organizations seeking to invest in healthcare in Kenya and sits in various advisory boards of healthcare institutions. As a director of the Kenya Healthcare Federation, he has represented the Federation in national and international forums and technical working groups.
Dr. Obita holds a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery (MBCh.B) and is concluding a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) – Strategic Management. He has undergone a Healthcare Management and Leadership course at Massachusetts General Hospital, Leadership and Management in Health course at University of Washington and both Management in Health and Basics in Health Economics from the World Bank Educational Institute for Development.
