I started working as a Biomedical engineer in 1997 in the Miinistry of Health, Kenya stationed at Nyanza provincial General hospital currently referred as the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and referral Hospital (JOOTRH). In 2000, I was promoted and transferred to Kisumu East District Hospital at the heart of Kisumu town as the head of Biomedical Engineering department, currently referred as the Kisumu County referral hospital. In the year 2010 I was transferred again to the Machakos level 5 hospital in Machakos county in the same capacity where I am to date.
I started working after attaining a diploma in Medical Engineering Technology from the Mombasa polytechnic currently the Technical University of Mombasa. I have also done Higher national Diploma in Medical engineering, undergraduate degree in management and postgraduate degree in Leadership and Management (MBA).
I was elected the Hon. Secretary General of AMEK in the year 2008 after successfully chairing the first East Africa regional scientific conference held at the Kisumu Tom Mboya labour College. In 2018 the Association elected me to the post of the vice chair, the post I am holding up to now. In addition I am the conference chairman of the Association in Kenya. In the 6th East African regional conference held in hotel Africana, Kampala, I was elected the Hon. Treasurer for the Federation of East Africa Hospital Engineers Associations (FEAHEA)
